French and Indian War Genealogy

I was doing research on my gggggg-grandfather, Nathan Hatch, who is a Revolutionary War soldier from Connecticut. He was born in 1740, making me wonder if he served in the French and Indian War.

I found Nathan Hatch twice in Rolls of Connecticut Men in the French and Indian War. He has service in Ninth Company, Second Regiment, during the campaign of 1761. He also has service in the Sixth Company, Second Regiment, in the campaign of 1762. I was just wondering if anyone could help confirm or disprove this being him.
